Sheboygan County Sheriff Joins Campaign Hurricane Relief Efforts
The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office is joining efforts to collect essentials needed to help hundreds of thousands of Hurricane Helene survivors. Sheriff Matt Spence said on Wednesday that he asked his staff to see what resources they could offer to support fellow Americans in need. At their request it was decided to publicly join a joint effort by Police Lights of Christmas and Karl’s Transportation to haul supplies to the Asheville, North Carolina Police Department.
The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office will accept non-perishable donations until 6 a.m. on Friday, October 4th. At that time, Sheriff’s Office staff will load items for delivery to Green Bay so Karl’s Transportation can deliver them to Asheville.
Some of the items in need are:
-Bottled water/gallon jugs of water
-Paper Towels
-Toilet Paper
-Diapers/Baby Wipes
-Trash Bags
-Non Perishable SNACK items
-NEW blankets and towels (no tag, no take)
-Toiletries
-Generators
Anyone interested in donating can bring them to the Sheriff’s Office at 525 North 6th Street and either leave them with the Shift Commander or at a drop-off location in the lobby.
