Sworn into Office: Ryan Menzer, District One, City of Sheboygan
April 15, 2025City Hall posted a closure notice for a so-called “Spring Holiday,” not Easter. Let’s be clear: Easter is one of the most sacred and meaningful days for millions of Americans. Scrubbing its name and replacing it with something vague isn’t inclusive; it’s offensive.
Sheboygan’s left-wing leadership didn’t accidentally forget to mention the resurrection of Jesus Christ. They chose to ignore it. Remember: liberalism isn’t Godless by accident; it’s Godless on purpose.
Respecting our country’s Christian roots shouldn’t be controversial. What is controversial is the city choosing to sidestep the truth of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection instead of honoring a tradition held sacred by many in our community.
If they can proudly recognize Juneteenth and Pride Month without hesitation, they can say Easter.
Our city deserves leaders who stand for truth, not ones who hide behind politically correct word games.
Do better, City of Sheboygan.
