We loved old movies featuring a heroic world where good World War II Uncle Sam and tough cops ruled the night; FBI agents got the leg-breaking, drug-dealing mobsters; and CIA agents outfoxed the KBG thugs of the evil empire.

We were horrified when the lights came up and caught dear, old Uncle Sam stealing from us, our FBI targeting us as racist insurrectionists, and our CIA working for a shady international consortium that smelled an awful lot like the old evil empire.

Then, when all seemed lost, a superhero Donald Trump miraculously appeared, bulldozed through the corrupt gatekeepers right into the oval office, bringing with him a star-studded cast.

With him appeared the quick-witted, beautiful Pam Bondi and the hard-bitten Kash Patel to teach our old FBI to enforce the law — not be Democratic enforcers; the no-nonsense, glamorous Kristi Noem and the veteran bulldog Tom Homan to boot out the cartels; the sensible, gorgeous Tulsi Gabbard to slap sense into 18 squabbling intelligence agencies; the grizzled old guru RFK to put the screws to 19 big pharma robber barons …

And even more entertaining, the shrieks of suspiciously wealthy politicians, bureaucrats and well-heeled NGO sidekicks after the nerdiest little kid in school, Elon Musk, steals the USAID lunch back from the biggest, meanest bully on the playground, the CIA.

A great plot. Better yet, the fantasy dragons are real, and so is Saint George.
