Spotlight on Ed Brey, Candidate
Sheboygan Falls School District
Ed Brey is running for the Sheboygan Falls School Board to improve academic focus in schools. He believes in (1) teaching our American heritage without agendas, (2) efficient spending, and (3) encouraging educators to achieve their highest potential to help students reach theirs.
Initiatives
Pay teachers based on merit to attract and retain the best educators at wages fair to teachers and taxpayers.
Teach America’s heritage
- Remove DEI and emphasis on social justice.
- Restore the study of civics and foundational U.S. documents like the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.
- Study America’s heritage as a great Nation.
Sex Ed
- Remove Planned Parenthood Agenda.
- Include instruction on adoption and the sex binary.
- Better align content with science, student safety, and community values.
- Employ community review and school board approval of all sex ed instruction to ensure it is scientifically accurate, unbiased, and age-appropriate.
Refrain from sponsoring political activism during school hours that promotes gender-affirming care. Taxpayer-funded schools must remain neutral. Instead establish clubs that focus on building character, not politics.
Eliminate identity politics by welcoming all. Eliminate discrimination and identity politics.
Remove polarizing one-sided surface-level political signs and slogans from school in favor of objective data and critical thinking.
Ed has an MS in computer engineering from NTU and a BS in electrical engineering from Marquette University. He graduated second in his class from New Berlin West HS. Thankful to be an American and for the doors his education opened, he strives to prepare students for their land of opportunity.
